Bill Shreeve "Feel This"
Bill Shreeve, from San Diego, California, is a soulful saxophone master and consummate jazz instrumentalist. Performing on soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxes, flute, piccolo, wind synthesizer, hand percussion and keyboards, Bill brings a wide range of musical expertise to any musical endeavor. Bill has studied with jazz luminaries Charles McPherson, Phil Woods, Brandon Fields, Eric Marienthal, and Bob Shepard to name a few.
Though Bill is a seasoned jazz musician he is also in demand in more popular music genres from pop, rock, R & B, Funk, Soul, Swing, big band, Latin, Folk, and classical. Bill has performed with The Drifters, The Temptations, jazz groups Fattburger, Peter Sprague, Rob Whitlock, Bill Coleman, Bruce Cameron, Jaime Valle, Yavaz, Reel to Real, The Dave Scott Quintet, Monsoon, etc., and with many of San Diego’s more popular dance bands such as Haute Chili, NRG, Big Time Operator, The Surf Kings, The Accents, Steely Damned, Rockola, The Heroes, Benny Holman Orchestra, Liquid Blue, The Soul Persuaders, King Kelly, The Bill Green Orchestra, Gary Scott Orchestra, Diva Soul, The Siers Brothers, and many others. Bill is also a composer, arranger, band leader and studio engineer with his own 24 track recording studio, Bill Shreeve Music Productions. He has been leading his own bands since the mid seventies.
IIn 2008 he debuts his first solo release, "Feel This" featuring Bill's original material with sax and trombone playing the lead lines. The CD features Fattburger's Kevin Koch and Evan Marks as well as world renowned guitarist Peter Sprague (Chic Corea, David Benoit, Eric Marienthal, etc.).
